As part of the IDEx Egypt 2025 Conference and with the participation of teams from 35 Egyptian universities: A Student Team from the Faculty of Dentistry Wins First Place in the “Top Students” Competition

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President announced a new achievement adding to the university’s distinguished record, as a student team from the Faculty of Dentistry won first place nationwide in the “Top Students” competition held during the IDEx Egypt 2025 Conference at the Cairo Convention Center, with the participation of 35 universities from across the country.


Prof. Hussein congratulated the Faculty of Dentistry students on achieving first place nationally in the IDEx Egypt 2025 Conference competition, affirming that this victory is a source of pride for the entire Tanta University community and a testament to the fact that the university is on the right path in preparing a generation of talented individuals capable of leadership and innovation. He pointed out that the university places great emphasis on improving students’ academic performance and preparing them to compete locally and internationally through curriculum development, providing laboratories and research centers, and offering intensive practical training programs that immerse students in real work environments—giving them valuable hands-on experience and effectively preparing them for the job market. This is in addition to workshops and training courses. He stressed that this achievement is a direct result of these integrated efforts, calling on students to continue achieving more successes in the future to be the best ambassadors for their university and their country.


The University President praised this distinguished achievement, noting that it reflects the quality of education and research at the university and demonstrates the ability of its students to compete and innovate nationally. He expressed thanks and appreciation to Prof. Faten Abu Taleb, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Sherine Abdel Moneim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and all faculty members for their continuous support to students and for providing an environment that fosters skill development.


For her part, Prof. Faten Abu Taleb expressed her pride in this win, noting that the achievement is the result of joint efforts by both students and faculty who spared no effort in preparing and training the team. She confirmed that the Faculty will continue to support its students and encourage them to participate in all scientific events and conferences to represent the university.


The winning student team included: Manar Mohamed Salah Abdel Hady, Israa Hamdy Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Ahmed Mohamed Farouk El-Abyad, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Mohamed Abdel Rahman, and Sara Ahmed Abdel Sattar Abdel Khaleq Zeidan. The team was supervised by Prof. Moataz Abdel Bari.
