Tanta University and Tanta National University actively participated in the Akhbar Al-Youm Educational Exhibition held at the Cairo International Conference Center in Nasr City, under the patronage of Prime Minister Prof. Mostafa Madbouly. The universities’ booth was visited by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who was received by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University and Acting President of Tanta National University. During the visit, Prof. Mohamed Hussein showcased the universities’ outstanding academic capabilities and new programs, in addition to training and qualification activities designed to equip students and graduates with skills aligned with labor market requirements.
Prof. Ayman Ashour praised the significant efforts made by both universities in implementing the principles of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressing that these efforts aim to link educational outcomes with labor market needs through strong partnerships with industrial and governmental sectors. He noted that this strategy fully aligns with the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and emphasized the vital role of higher education institutions in driving sustainable development.
For his part, Prof. Mohamed Hussein welcomed the minister’s visit, appreciating his clear efforts in developing the higher education system. He stated that both universities are committed to meeting national development needs by producing graduates with high scientific, cognitive, and practical skills. He also pointed out that research at the universities is directed towards serving both the industrial and service sectors, alongside providing distinguished community services through university hospitals and outreach convoys.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein added that the third phase of establishing national universities affiliated with public universities represents a qualitative leap in expanding educational opportunities for students. He explained that the programs at Tanta National University were designed based on a thorough study of labor market demands and future professions, confirming that the national university is fully prepared to welcome students starting from the 2025/2026 academic year.
