Heading a Delegation of 100 Student Union Members and Outstanding Students Tanta University President Visits National Institutions’ Pavilions at the Cairo International Book Fair

The visit aims to enhance students’ national awareness and connect them with Egypt’s ongoing cultural and intellectual movement

The tour included special visits to a number of national institutions’ pavilions to introduce students to institutional efforts to safeguard the nation’s resources

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, conducted an inspection visit to the 57th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. He was accompanied by Prof. Ahmed El-Araby, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Prof. Mohamed El-Quseir, Director General of Student Welfare; along with a delegation of student union members and distinguished students from various faculties.

During the visit, the delegation toured the pavilions of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the Administrative Control Authority.

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein explained that the visit comes within the framework of the University’s commitment to enhancing students’ cultural and national awareness and linking them to the dynamic cultural and intellectual momentum currently witnessed by the Egyptian state. He noted that the tour included special visits to several key national institutions’ pavilions, beginning with the Ministry of Defense pavilion, where the delegation reviewed publications documenting the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

   The tour continued with a visit to the Ministry of Interior pavilion, which showcased national security efforts, as well as the latest publications and technologies issued by the Ministry. The delegation also visited the Administrative Control Authority pavilion, where students were introduced to the State’s efforts in combating corruption and promoting the values of integrity and transparency.

   During the tour of the fair’s various halls and corridors, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, emphasized the paramount importance of the Book Fair as a bridge for intercultural dialogue and a platform for spreading enlightened thought. He added that the fair represents a major cultural event that contributes to shaping young minds and safeguarding them with moderate and balanced thinking.

   He further stressed that Tanta University is keen to ensure its students’ participation in such events, as they play a vital role in strengthening national identity and enriching students’ intellectual and cultural knowledge.

   For their part, the students participating in the delegation expressed their great pleasure with the visit, praising the excellent organization and the diversity of cultural content. They affirmed that the visit provided significant benefits, particularly through gaining first-hand exposure to the publications of national institutions, which enhanced their awareness of the vital role these institutions play in protecting the nation.
