A Student Sports Delegation from Tanta University Participates in the Opening Ceremony of the Egyptian Universities and Institutes Championship

   A delegation of athletically distinguished students from Tanta University participated in the opening ceremony of the Egyptian Universities and Institutes Championship, which was held with wide participation from various academic institutions. The event was attended by Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.

   The University’s participation came under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and under the supervision of Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with the support of Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and the coordination of Prof. Mohamed El-Quseir, Director General of Student Welfare. This participation reflects the University’s role in fostering students’ well-rounded personal development and in instilling the values of fair competition and teamwork.

   Tanta University was represented by a sports delegation comprising more than 70 male and female students, selected from the University’s elite athletic teams. During the parade formation and the opening ceremony, Tanta University students demonstrated a high level of discipline and organization, reflecting the University’s distinguished image and underscoring the effectiveness of the training and qualification programs provided to talented students by the University administration.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, affirmed that this participation underscores the University’s commitment to supporting and nurturing athletically talented students and to providing all necessary resources to ensure that the University is represented in a manner befitting its prestigious standing. He noted that sports activities constitute a fundamental pillar of the University’s strategic plan to build a generation that is physically and intellectually strong, capable of achievement and competition at various levels.

   In the same context, Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, praised the honorable representation of the students, emphasizing that Tanta University will continue to support its students across all student activities. He stressed the University’s firm belief that sports represent one of the most effective means of character building and the development of students’ leadership skills.
