Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, congratulated Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, the new Governor of Gharbia, on assuming his post. This came during a high-level visit by the university president to the governorate headquarters, in the presence of Engineer Hossam El-Din Abdo, the Deputy Governor.
The university president was accompanied by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Counselor Khairy Amara, the university's legal advisor.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hussein congratulated the Governor and his deputy. The meeting included a review of areas of cooperation between the university and the governorate, emphasizing the pivotal role the university plays as a center of consulting and technical expertise supporting development plans and national projects within the governorate, thus ensuring continued integration between executive bodies and academic institutions.
The meeting also focused on the importance of continuing mutual support and strengthening the strategic partnership in various service and development sectors, in order to serve the aspirations of the citizens of Gharbia Governorate and support the comprehensive vision of the Egyptian state 2030 in developing the regions and improving the quality of services provided.
