Prof. Mohamed Hussein issued several directives during the Tanta University Council meeting:
- Monitoring the continuity of the educational process during Ramadan

- Continuously updating data and performance indicators in accordance with the university's strategic plan
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, directed the deans of the faculties to closely monitor the continuity of the educational process in all university faculties during the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of monitoring student attendance and interaction in lectures broadcast online via official educational platforms to ensure the continuity of high-quality education and the achievement of approved educational quality standards, while maintaining academic discipline throughout the holy month.
The university president also directed the deans of student affairs in each faculty to conduct thorough field monitoring of the academic advising units' activities. This monitoring aims to provide necessary support and guidance to students, with a particular focus on addressing the challenges faced by those encountering academic difficulties. He further emphasized the importance of organizing regular awareness sessions and guidance meetings to equip students with the skills to overcome academic obstacles and ensure a successful and stable educational journey.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed the need to intensify student activities and promote the social integration of international students at the university. This will guarantee a distinguished educational experience within the university's faculties. He emphasized the necessity of fully implementing a comprehensive and innovative marketing plan to promote the diverse and unique academic programs and specializations. The goal is to attract more students from various nationalities and achieve a significant increase in their numbers, thereby strengthening Tanta University's position as an attractive educational destination.
The university president also placed paramount importance on achieving quality and programmatic and institutional accreditation for all university programs and colleges. He emphasized that accreditation is the cornerstone of ensuring the provision of world-class university education. He explained that adherence to quality standards directly contributes to raising the efficiency of educational and research outputs, thus guaranteeing Tanta University's leading position in international rankings and enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates in the local and international job markets.
The president also stressed the need to update all data related to the university's performance indicators platform, in accordance with the university's new strategic plan. He called upon those in charge of specialized centers and units to commit to publishing and updating their data and outputs through their designated websites, emphasizing that the accuracy of the submitted data reflects institutional transparency and contributes to the precise monitoring of the university's actual achievement rates.
This came during the regular meeting of the Tanta University Council for the month of February, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, in the presence of Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, Governor of Gharbia, Dr. Fouad Harras, former President of Tanta University, Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, Deans of Faculties, Counselor Khairy Amara, Legal Advisor to the University, and Accountant Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University.
