Tanta University Wins First Place in Egyptian Universities and Higher Institutes Bodybuilding Championship


    Tanta University achieved a sporting accomplishment by winning first place in the overall ranking of the Egyptian Universities and Higher Institutes Bodybuilding Championship, which the university hosted as part of the 53rd Martyr Al-Rifai Tournament, in cooperation with the Egyptian University Sports Federation.

    The events were held under the patronage of Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, President of Tanta University, and under the supervision of Prof. El-Sayed Abdel Azim El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. Tanta University was crowned first in the overall championship ranking, while Alexandria University came in second place, and the Ministry of Higher Education came in third.

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed that Tanta University's first-place victory in this championship reflects the university's strategy of developing well-rounded students. He expressed his pride in hosting this sporting event, emphasizing that the university will always be a nurturing environment for talent and a beacon of student and sports activity nationwide. He congratulated the winning students on this achievement, which adds to the university's impressive record of accomplishments.

    Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz added that the goal from the outset was not only to compete for the title but also to present an organizational model befitting the name of Tanta University. He confirmed that he had directed the removal of all obstacles and the mobilization of all university resources to ensure the comfort of the participating delegations. He praised the high level of sportsmanship and outstanding technical skill displayed throughout the day, demonstrating that the university's youth possess the will and determination to achieve excellence in all fields.

    The championship was organized to a high standard, coordinated by Prof. Magdy Wakouk, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Prof. Mohamed El-Quseir, Director General of Student Welfare, and Mohamed El-Sheikh, Director of the Sports Activity Department.

    The list of winners of the top three places (according to the championship weight in the different weight categories) included: 60 kg weight category, first place went to Ibrahim Fathallah El-Saeed (Tanta University), second place to Mohamed Ashry Hefzy (Sohag University), and third place to Mohamed Hassan Imam (Ministry of Higher Education); 65 kg weight category, first place went to Youssef Mohamed Saeed (Helwan University), second place to Ahmed Qotb Mostafa (Helwan University), and third place to Ziad Ibrahim Mohamed (Tanta University); 70 kg weight category, first place went to Kamel Abdel-Dayem Fathy (Helwan University), second place to Ziad Ahmed Helmy (Helwan University), and third place to Fares Mohamed Ahmed (Tanta University); 75 kg weight category, first place went to Ziad Alaa Mohamed (Sohag University), second place to Mostafa Mohamed El-Sayed (Zagazig University), and third place to Ahmed Abdullah Ali (Sohag University); 80 kg weight category, first place went to Adham Ahmed Mohamed (Alexandria University), second place to Mohamed Gomaa Mohamed (Zagazig University), and third place to Mohamed Qotb Mohamed (Tanta University); and [weight category missing]. 85 kg, first place: Osama Ashraf Abdel Hamid (Ministry of Higher Education), second place: Moaz Ibrahim Mohamed (Sohag University), third place: Ahmed Samir Amin (Tanta University). 90 kg, first place: Mohamed Khaled Ahmed (Sohag University), second place: Lotfy Mahmoud Abdel Rahim (Ministry of Higher Education), third place: Abdel Rahman Atef Abdel Samie (Alexandria University). 95 kg, first place: Ahmed Mostafa Taha (Alexandria University), second place: Kamel Youssef Ghoneim (Tanta University), third place: Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed (Benha University). +100 kg, first place: Sajed Khaled El Sayed El Madani (Tanta University), second place: Mohamed Ahmed Farouk Mohamed (Future University), third place: Mohamed Hesham Mohamed (Zagazig University).
