Tanta District Hosts the Advanced Developmental Convoy of Tanta University
Under the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning for Human Development", Tanta District Hosts the Advanced Development Convoy of Tanta University.
Tanta University has continued its comprehensive developmental convoys as part of its community service activities under the presidential initiative, "A New Beginning for Human Development". The latest convoy was held in Al-Karsa village, Tanta District, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, and in the attendance of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Loay Al-Ahwal, Acting Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Medical examination was conducted, at the convoy, for 1266 individuals in 13 clinics including neurosurgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, internal medicine, urology, ENT, general surgery, pulmonology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, cardiology, and the clinic of health initiatives. Free medicaments were distributed to all cases for free, and 58 cases were referred to Tanta University Hospitals for further examinations and treatment.
Moreover, veterinary services were provided to over 4,874 livestock and poultry. The convoy was organized with participation of a large number of academic staff members, doctors and pharmacists.
