Under the Presidential Initiative "A New Beginning for Human Development", Santa District Hosts the Advanced Developmental Convoy of Tanta University


     Tanta University is organizing its comprehensive developmental convoys as part of its community service activities under the presidential initiative, "A New Beginning for Human Development". The latest convoy was held in in Mit Haway village located in Santa District, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, and in the attendance of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Loay Al-Ahwal, Acting Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Sahar Al-Haggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development.
      Medical examination was conducted, at the convoy, for 1088 patients in 14 clinics including neurosurgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, internal medicine, urology, ENT, general surgery, chest diseases, psychiatry and neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry and the clinic of health initiatives. Free medicaments were distributed to all cases, and 62 cases were referred to Tanta University Hospitals for further examinations and treatment. Veterinary services were provided to more than 5652 head of livestock and poultry also free of charge. The convoy was held with the participation of many academic staff members, doctors and pharmacists.
