Tanta University Honors Top High School Graduates from Gharbia Governorate

    In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and during the regular meeting of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council, the top high school graduates from Gharbia Governorate were honored.

   The council discussed activating development initiatives and expanding partnerships with governmental and private sectors as well as business owners.

   In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, Tanta University honored the top high school graduates from the cities and districts of Gharbia Governorate at the regular session held by the Community Service and Environmental Development Council. The session was chaired by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the attendance of Prof. Rania El-Imam, Dean of Faculty of Specific Education; Prof. Mona Al-Aasar, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy; faculty vice deans for community service and environmental development; several undersecretaries of ministries in Gharbia; and Mr. Ahmed Rashad, University Secretary-General.

   Prof. Mahmoud Selim expressed his gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, for his keen participation in honoring the top students. He affirmed that the sector aims to expand the university’s community work both on campus and throughout Gharbia Governorate and the Delta region in alignment with national development goals.

   Prof. Selim declared that the sector’s future plan focuses on several main pivots, including supporting innovation and entrepreneurship through increasing business incubators, alongside initiatives for digital literacy and economic empowerment of youth and women. The efforts will also include skills and knowledge development for all community members, in addition to comprehensive cultural awareness.

    In addition, Prof. Selim congratulated the top high school graduates, wishing them success in their future endeavors. He also commended the efforts of Engr. Nasser Hassan, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education in Gharbia Directorate, for his tireless work to improve the educational environment in the governorate’s schools.

    The honored graduates included: Omar Saad El-Din Kamel Abdel Aziz (1st place in the General Secondary Certificate – Science Division) from the School of Outstanding Students for Science and Technology, Nada Ramadan Mohamed Atta (3rd place in the General Secondary Certificate – Mathematics Division) from Al-Shaheed Ibrahim Hussein Mohamed School, and Mariam Mohamed Sami El-Garawani (9th place in the General Secondary Certificate – Science Division) from Umm Al-Mu'mineen Secondary School in Tanta.

    Moreover, during the session, commemorative shields were presented to Prof. Akram Nomeir, Vice Dean of Faculty of Specific Education, and Prof. Hani Mahariq, Vice Dean of Faculty of Commerce, at the end of their terms as vice deans for community service and environmental development. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to representatives of the General Authority for Adult Education: Mr. Mohamed Abu Al-Nabyel, Director of the Authority’s Branch in Gharbia, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Director of the Office of the Authority’s Director in Gharbia, in recognition of their efforts and cooperation in Tanta University’s digital literacy and English language education initiative for the Authority’s staff.
