Tanta University Concludes the “Information Security–Aware Community” Training Program for Volunteers of the Social Solidarity Unit at the University
Tanta University today concluded the specialized training program titled “Information Security–Aware Community”, held at the university's Center for Languages and Continuing Education. The program targeted 42 volunteers from the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, University President, in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Walid Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Education and Student Affairs and Director of the Center for Languages and Continuing Education; and Prof. Aida Nasr, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer and Information and Director of the university’s Digital Transformation Unit.
The training program was organized in cooperation between the university and the Ministry of Social Solidarity through the university’s Social Solidarity Unit and the Nour Misr Foundation for Charitable Work.
Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, affirmed the great importance of the program’s topics and pivots in light of the current digital transformation taking place in Egypt. He added that this program represents a crucial step in enhancing the knowledge and skills of the volunteers, particularly in the field of information security, which has become an urgent necessity. He further noted that such activities strengthen the concepts of voluntary work in public service, as it is a key pillar in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He pointed out that the program serves as a model for successful development partnerships between higher education institutions and civil and governmental sectors.
