The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Tanta University convened a meeting of directors of centers and units, chaired by Prof. Mahmoud Selim — Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development — in the presence of Prof. Abdel Aziz Abdel Dayem, Prof. Atef Nower, Prof. Tarek Radwan, Mr. Ahmed Rashad, along with a distinguished group of executive managers and heads of the centers and units affiliated with the sector.
The meeting aimed to review the results of big data analysis for the university’s economic centers and units over the past four years, with the objective of evaluating financial and administrative performance and formulating a future vision to enhance output efficiency and increase generated revenues from all service and productive activities undertaken by the university in serving the Delta region and the entire Egyptian society.
At the beginning of his speech, Prof. Mahmoud Selim extended his appreciation and gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Hussein — President of the University — for his continuous support and insightful vision in advancing development within the university. He also expressed his deep appreciation to Prof. Mahmoud Zaki — former President of the University — for his sincere efforts and impactful contributions, which laid the foundation for a number of developmental projects and digital transformation initiatives from which the university is now reaping the benefits. He affirmed that work at Tanta University is carried out in a spirit of teamwork, based upon previous achievements to ensure the institution’s leadership and sustained excellence.
The Vice President further emphasized that the current phase necessitates full integration between administrative systems, and the utilization of advanced and modern technologies in programming and artificial intelligence applications. He described these as the cornerstone for positioning Tanta University among fourth-generation universities that rely on comprehensive digital transformation in administration, research, and community service, while linking their outputs to industry and the national economy — in alignment with Egypt’s vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development and build a smart, knowledge-based society capable of competing globally.
