Al-Huda Charity Complex Hosts Tanta University Medical Convoy

  Tanta University organized a medical convoy to Al-Huda Charity Complex to provide free medical examinations and medications to residents of care homes, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President. The convoy was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Tanta University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mohamed El-Shebiny, Supervisor of the university’s medical convoys affiliated with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof. Sherin Farouk Hammad, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development.

  Prof. Mahmoud Selim emphasized that the convoy underscores Tanta University’s commitment to continuing its community service role and providing the necessary healthcare and support to residents of care homes, particularly vulnerable groups, thereby promoting the values of solidarity and social responsibility.

   The visit included many care homes affiliated with Al-Huda Charity Complex, namely the Home for Homeless Elderly Men, Resala Home for Women, Home for Homeless Children, and Al-Senousy Home for Girls, where medical services were provided to the residents.

  The medical convoy provided examinations across several specialties. A total of 25 cases were examined in neurosurgery, 12 in pediatrics, 21 in orthopedics, 42 in dermatology, 40 in internal medicine, 8 in urology, 25 in ENT, 22 in chest diseases, 18 in psychiatry and neurology, 42 in ophthalmic surgery, and 28 in cardiology and vascular diseases. Medications were also provided free of charge according to the patients’ medical needs.
