The Start of the First Session of the Workshop Titled “Sustainable Business Model” Held for Teams from the University Centers for Career Development (UCCDs) and Managers of Tanta University’s Centers and Units

The workshop is hosted by the UCCDs and features a lecture delivered by University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Mahmoud Selim commends the constructive cooperation over 3 years with the AUC and USAID.

   University Centers for Career Development at Faculty of Commerce, Tanta University, hosted the first session of the workshop titled "Sustainable Business Model," under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University. The workshop featured a lecture by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the attendance of Prof. Yasser Al-Garaf, Dean of Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Dina Abdel Hady, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Hany Mahareq, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Osama Badr, Academic Advisor to Faculty of Commerce Center, Prof. Ramadan Ma’an, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Digital Transformation and Financial Inclusion; Prof. Hagar Alam Al-Din, Executive Manager of the Main Center for Economic Units and Centers; as well as the managers of the centers at faculties of Commerce, Engineering, and Science, alongside work teams and volunteers of the centers.

   Prof. Mahmoud Selim declared that the workshop is part of Tanta University's plan to achieve financial and operational sustainability for the UCCDs. It included key concepts of building business models and formulating mind maps in institutional management in line with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives, while ensuring optimal utilization of material and human resources to produce outcomes aligned with actual needs.

   Moreover, Prof. Selim commended the fruitful collaboration over the past three years with The American University in Cairo (AUC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He presented several administrative models that could be implemented during the upcoming phase in the centers at faculties of Commerce and Engineering. He also highlighted the support of Tanta University's administration for all activities that ensure that the centers will continue to provide distinguished services.
