Tanta University Tops Egyptian Universities in the 2024 National Literacy and Adult Education Project

Tanta University Continues to Lead in Supporting National Projects and Initiatives; It Gains the First Place in the 2024 National Literacy and Adult Education Project

    Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development, announced that Tanta University has been ranked first among Egyptian universities in the 2024 National Literacy and Adult Education Project, with a total of 33,223 citizens benefiting from the initiative. This announcement was made during a meeting attended by Mr. Mohamed Abo El-Nabayel, General Director of the Local Branch of the Adult Education Authority, alongside faculty vice deans supervising the literacy project, the academic staff members coordinating the project, and representatives of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education, to review the mechanisms for implementing the university’s plan to help eradicate illiteracy in Gharbia Governorate.

   Prof. Selim stated that the General Authority for Adult Education is a strategic and executive partner of the university, through continuous coordination and effective communication—a partnership that is clearly reflected in Tanta University’s ongoing achievements in the national literacy project. He affirmed that the university plays a pivotal and effective role in literacy efforts both at the level of Gharbia Governorate and across the nation, through applying clear strategies, the launch of diverse initiatives, and the active encouragement of student and faculty participation in this vital national endeavor.
