Prof. Mahmoud Selim Chairs a Meeting with Managers of Centers and Units to Promote Digital Transformation and Financial Governance
Tanta University held an extensive meeting today with the managers of centers and units, chaired by Prof. Mahmoud Selim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The meeting addressed a number of main themes aimed at improving administrative and financial performance and fostering the principles of transparency and governance, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Prof. Selim affirmed the paramount importance of adhering to standardized financial models, noting that the commitment of centers and special economic units to these unified models represents a crucial step towards achieving greater administrative and financial efficiency. Such compliance, he added, not only contributes to increasing the financial surplus but also enhances the overall administrative performance and underscores the university’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
Moreover, he further emphasized that these measures reflect Tanta University’s continuous efforts to adopt the latest administrative and financial practices in support of its academic and social mission.
Additionally, the Vice President discussed the strategic priorities and implementation plans for the current stage, affirming the necessity for all centers and units to adhere to the unified models for quarterly and final accounts. He highlighted the significance of compliance with the ratios approved by the University Council, as well as the predetermined contributions to the University and its faculties, with the aim of ensuring greater financial discipline.
