Tanta University Organizes “The First Environmental Forum for Delta Universities”

   Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and under the supervision of Prof. Mahmoud Selim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development (Forum Coordinator), and Prof. Hager Alam Al-Din, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering (Forum Rapporteur), Tanta University has announced the organization of “The First Environmental Forum for Delta Universities,” scheduled to be held on 3 February 2026.

    Prof. Mahmoud Selim affirmed that the forum aims to strengthen the role of academic institutions in addressing environmental challenges and achieving sustainable development. He noted that the forum serves as a leading platform bringing together creative students and researchers to contribute to the development of innovative environmental solutions. The forum seeks to benefit from academic capacities to confront current climate and environmental challenges, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.

   The forum offers participation through two main tracks. The first track, Student Projects, includes youth innovations in the fields of energy sustainability and renewable energy, recycling technologies and waste management, smart agricultural projects, artificial intelligence and engineering applications, in addition to community innovation and digital transformation.

   The second track, Scientific Research by Faculty Members, focuses on the fields of information technology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.

   It is worth noting that the deadline for submitting research papers and projects is January 20, 2026, with final acceptance of submissions to be announced on 25 January 2026.
