Launch of the “Recycling, a Touch of Change” Training Program at the Faculty of Applied Arts — Tanta University
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, and within the framework of the university’s commitment to supporting environmental sustainability issues and developing students’ skills, the activities of the training program entitled “Recycling, a Touch of Change” were launched today at the Faculty of Applied Arts — Tanta University. The program is organized by the Main Center for Community Public Services at Tanta University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Applied Arts and the Directorate of Education in Gharbia Governorate.
The program is offered as part of the university’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, promote a culture of recycling, and develop the creative and innovative potential of youth in ways that serve both society and the environment.
The opening day had distinguished participation from academic and executive leaders. The program is held under the patronage of:
• Prof. Mahmoud Farouk Selim — Tanta University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development
• Engr. Nasser Hussein — Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Gharbia Governorate
• Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed — Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts
• Asst. Prof. Amal Abdel Sattar — Executive Manager of the Main Center for Community Public Services
The first day’s activities also included the participation of:
• Dr. Marwa El-Saeedy — Founding Member of Kheir Zaad Foundation
• Dr. Ahmed El-Sheikh — Acting Head of the Department of Ready-Made Clothes and Fashion Design
• Dr. Shereen Badry — Lecturer, Department of Ready-Made Clothes and Fashion Design
In addition, the event was attended by:
• Prof. Maha Amer — Acting Head of the Department of Textile Printing
• Asst. Prof. Shaimaa Ali — Department of Textile Printing
• Dr. El-Sayed El-Shahat — Lecturer, Department of Textile Printing
The program is scheduled to run for eight days at the Faculty of Applied Arts during the mid-year vacation, offering an integrated training program aimed at equipping participants with practical skills in the field of recycling and encouraging active participation in community initiatives with an environmental dimension.
