Budgets and Warehouses Department is divided into three minor departments namely; Procurement Department, Warehouses Department, and Stock Control Department.
It is considered one of the most prominent departments that provides its services to all the governmental apparatuses. It is regulated by the tenders and auctions Act No. 89, which was released in 1998, and its executive bylaw. The Act organized work of the department and determined its responsibilities according to the regulations and articles of the Act and its executive bylaw which was amended by Act No. 182 of 2018.
One of the most important achievements in the field of tenders and auctions in a short period of time is establishing the highest levels of fairness and justice; promoting and consolidating the values of transparency, justice and integrity; and achieving the principle of equal opportunities. This principle aims to protect public finance, prevent the influence of personal interests on tenders and procurement procedures, and achieve the highest level of economic efficiency at affordable prices.
