Tanta University’s Futsal Team Gains the Bronze Medal in Egyptian Universities Tournament
Tanta University futsal team ranked third and gained the bronze medal in Egyptian Universities Tournament, “Martyr Al-Refa’i 51” which its final matches were held in Menoufia University. The team ranked third after beating Alexandria University team in the 16th round, the AUC team in the 8th round, and Kafr Al-Sheikh University team in the semifinal. Prof. Mustafa Bayyoumi, Assistant of Minister of Higher Education for Student Life and Sustainable Development, handed the bronze medals to the students.
For his part, Prof. Mohammed Hussein, Acting Tanta University President, congratulated the winning team and affirmed keenness of the University administration on providing technical and financial support to the talented students, and encouraging its students to participate in the student activities due to their role in refining the skills of the students and developing their talents as well as enhancing competitiveness. He pointed out that the faculty provides professional coaches and technical managers to enhance the technical qualification for the players. He thanked Menoufia University for hosing and managing the matches.
It is worth noting that the team was supervised by Dr. Magdy Wakwak, Coordinator of Student Activities; Mr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, Manager of the General Administration for Youth Welfare; and Mr. Hany Assar, Supervisor of the Team; in addition to Captain Mohammed Sallam and Captain Ehab Haggag from the Technical Staff.
