In the Presence of the University President, Education and Student Affairs Council of Tanta University Holds Its Third Meeting for the Academic Year 2025/2026


   Education and Student Affairs Council of Tanta University held its third meeting for the academic year 2025/2026, in presence of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. The meeting was attended by Prof. Afaf Bassal, Dean of Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information; Prof. Mohammed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of Faculty of Applied Arts; as well as vice deans for education and student affairs at the faculties; members of the council; and Dr. Haitham Al-Koumi, General Manager of Education and Student Affairs Sector.
   At the outset of the meeting, Prof. Mohammed Hussain extended his congratulations to Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz on the issuance of the presidential decree appointing him as Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, wishing him success in his new duties to continue the path of excellence in the education sector. Following this, members of the council expressed their appreciation to Prof. Mohammed Hussain for his distinguished contributions and tireless efforts as Chairman of the Council and Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. They noted that the sector witnessed notable progress and qualitative development under his leadership, emphasizing that his sincere imprint will remain a fundamental pivot upon which the university continues its development.
   During the meeting, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz emphasized the necessity of raising the maximum level of readiness across faculties to receive first-semester examinations. He affirmed that discipline and transparency constitute the cornerstone of work in the coming phase, stressing on the strict adherence to the regulations governing examinations and control processes to guarantee the students’ rights and to achieve full fairness. He also directed adherence to the academic timeline approved by the SCU, while affirming the prohibition of holding any examinations or assessments during the Christmas holiday.
   Vice President of the University further confirmed that his office and all sectors of the Vice Presidency will remain in continuous session to monitor examination processes moment by moment and to overcome any technical or administrative obstacles that faculties may encounter.
   In a related context, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz issued urgent directives to launch a new phase of academic development through forming of high-level committees representing all faculty sectors (medical, engineering, humanities, and basic sciences). These committees will be tasked with developing unified standards for the “Interactive University Textbook.” He clarified that the university aims to convert printed textbooks into digital (PDF) formats to ensure an interactive learning experience aligned with the latest global educational systems and supportive of the strategy of the state for digital transformation in education.
   Prof. Al-Agouz added that international students are considered “ambassadors of Tanta University in their home countries,” stressing on the importance of providing an integrated care system that goes beyond academic aspects to include logistical and social support. He directed the simplification of administrative procedures and the removal of any obstacles they may face. He emphasized that the university aims to be an appealing destination for students from all over the world by offering outstanding educational and living services that reflect the international position of Tanta University.
