Tanta University Announces the Winners of “Innovation 14” Festival Qualifiers in Scientific Fields and Innovation
The qualifying rounds of Innovation 14 Festival in scientific fields were launched at Tanta University, witnessing strong competition and outstanding presentations of innovative ideas and projects by students from various faculties. The competitions covered scientific and engineering innovations, electric vehicles, robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as entrepreneurship and start-ups.
The competition is held within the framework of the university continuous support for its innovative students and its constant commitment to empowering them and promoting a culture of innovation within the university community, in implementation of the directives issued by Prof. Mohammed Hussain, University President. The activities were directly supervised by Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; Prof. Yasser Abdu, Scientific Activity Advisor; and Mr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, General Manager of Student Welfare Administration.
For his part, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz affirmed that the university places empowering and supporting innovative students at the top of its strategic priorities, based on its firm belief that university students are the driving force of the future and the backbone of entrepreneurship. He added that the university works continuously to provide an integrated incubating environment that allows students to refine their creative skills without constraints; in addition to ensuring continuous technical and scientific guidance through a distinguished group of specialized academic staff. He also stressed the importance of working seriously to transform applicable ideas into prototypes and realistic projects capable of being implemented on the ground.
Further, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz emphasized the importance of encouraging active participation in all competitions and entrepreneurial initiatives, locally and worldwide, as well as strengthening the spirit of teamwork and positive competition witnessed during the qualifiers, considering it a fundamental pillar for the success of any entrepreneurial project.
It is worth noting that a distinguished group of specialists participated in the judging committees to evaluate the projects. The Entrepreneurship judging committee included Dr. Mohammed Samir, Dr. Amr Abdel-Nabi, Dr. Ramadan Ma’en, and Dr. Rania Ahmed. The Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning judging committee included Dr. Osama Ghonaim, Dr. Amr Al-Kholy, and Dr. Arwa Abul-Wafa. The Scientific and Engineering Innovations judging committee evaluated the models and included Dr. Mohammed Shu’aib, Dr. Youssef Al-Naggar, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, and Dr. Mohammed Amr.
