Under Patronage of Tanta University President, Vice President Inaugurates the 19th Scout and Guide Festival at Sibrbay Campus
Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the 19th Scout and Guide Festival for Scouts (male and female) of Tanta University. It was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University. The festival took place at Sibrbay Campus, in attendance of a number of faculty deans and vice deans; Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, General Manager of the General Administration of Student Welfare at the University; as well as a group of academic staff, members of the General Administration of Student Welfare, and leaders of the Air Scouts.
In his speech, Vice President of the University emphasized that the university administration places student activities at the top of its priorities, believing that building minds cannot be completed without building characters. He added that student activities are the true environment where talents are refined and leadership spirit is developed, noting that the scouting activities are a unique platform for developing life skills. He described scouting as a school that teaches patience in times of hardship and self-reliance under the most challenging circumstances.
Prof. Al-Agouz stated that the festival is an opportunity for acquaintance and exchange of experiences among the various faculties of the university, to compete honorably, cooperate with mutual respect, and draw inspiration from the values of sincerity, and public service. He stressed that true success lies not only in winning trophies, but in the friendships and skills that will accompany students throughout their lives. He concluded by extending his sincere thanks and appreciation to those responsible for organizing this activity and to everyone who contributed to presenting the festival in such an honorable way that suits the prestigious position of Tanta University.
