Vice President Crowns the Champions of the Futsal Tournament for International Students at Faculty of Medicine
Tanta University concluded today the activities of its Futsal Tournament for international students, which was held over two days at the sports fields of the General Administration for Student Welfare at the Medical Complex. The tournament was organized under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of the University.
The championship witnessed strong competition among eight teams representing various faculties and nationalities of international students at the University. The final results reflected the dominance of Faculty of Medicine teams in the top positions as follows:
• First Place: Team (1) (Cup Winners)
• Second Place: Team (6)
• Third Place: Team (4)
The closing ceremony and award distribution were attended by Prof. Al-Sayyed Abdel Azim Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Shahira Sharaf Addin, Executive Director of the Main Center for International Cooperation and International Students Affairs; and Dr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare.
In his remarks during the ceremony, Dr. Al-Agouz praised the outstanding sportsmanship and competitive spirit demonstrated by the students, affirming that the university spares no effort in supporting athletic activities for international students. He emphasized that the tournament is not merely a sporting competition, but also a bridge for strengthening human and cultural ties among international students.
He further stressed the university commitment to providing a comprehensive educational and recreational environment that makes studying at Tanta University an ideal opportunity for students to develop their physical and social skills alongside with their academic excellence.
For their part, participating students expressed their great appreciation for the excellent organization and the efforts to integrate them into student activities, noting that such events strengthen bonds of brotherhood and create unforgettable memories within the campus community.
