Under Patronage of University President, Tanta University Vice President Honors Students of Faculty of Agriculture for Outstanding Achievements in the First Afro-Arab Agricultural Forum


Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, honored a delegation of students from Faculty of Agriculture who participated in the First Afro-Arab Agricultural Forum and the 40th edition at the level of Egyptian universities. The event was hosted by Cairo University and included more than 2,500 male and female students representing faculties of agriculture from Egyptian, Arab, and African universities. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Essawy Qassem Mahmoud, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, and Prof. Sheriff Abdul-Wanis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
   The delegation, consisting of 35 students, achieved outstanding results across various fields including winning the first-place overall scientific activity cup at the local, Arab, and African levels, and securing first place in the Best Innovative Project using Artificial Intelligence (AI) competition.
   In cultural activities, the students dominated first place in competitions such as cultural research, essay writing, and short story. In social activities, student Aisha Tamer Sa’eed won the title of “Ideal Student” for the entire forum. In artistic and sports activities, the team achieved second place in the art exhibition and third place in table tennis (female category).
   During his meeting with the students, Prof. Al-Agouz praised this honorable achievement, emphasizing that the students’ success reflects the high quality of the educational and research systems and their ability to compete and innovate globally. He expressed pride in this generation of agricultural engineers who presented an honorable image of Egypt among delegations from 13 Arab and African countries.
   The forum was held from January 28th to February 5th, 2026, and witnessed strong competition among delegations from Syria, Palestine, Yemen, the UAE, Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Malawi, and the Union of the Comoros, in addition to major Egyptian universities.
   The delegation of Tanta University included 35 students, headed by Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Wanis (Activities Coordinator), under the supervision of Mr. Gamal Ibrahim (Director of Student Welfare) and Ms. Radwa Farahat (Activity Supervisor).
