Closing of the 19th Scout and Guides Festival at Tanta University
Tanta University organized a major ceremony at Faculty of Pharmacy to conclude its 19th Scout and Guides Festival for male and female student scouts across the faculties. The event reflected the students’ awareness, excellence, and their ability for leadership and creativity. The festival was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain Mahmoud, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, in attendance of a high-level group of deans and vice deans from participating faculties, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and fair competition.
The competitions witnessed strong rivalry for top positions in the fields of arts, literature, community service, community development, and campfire activities. The results showed that Faculties of Education and Business shared first place jointly, while Faculty of Computer and Information ranked second, Faculty of Medicine ranked third, and Faculty of Sports Science ranked fourth.
For his part, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz affirmed that the Scout Festival is one of the most important pivots of student activities aimed at the comprehensive development of students. He noted that these competitions seek to instill values of belonging, teamwork, and exchange of experiences among students, enabling them to become real leaders in their communities capable of facing challenges with a creative scouting spirit.
The festival was organized in a highly structured manner by the General Administration of Student Welfare, under supervision of Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Qassir, Director General of Student Welfare, with active field participation from the Scouts and Public Service Department led by Dr. Omar Khalil.
