Tanta University Vice President Chairs Expanded Meeting with Directors of Educational Assessment and Evaluation Units
Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Tanta University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, chaired an expanded meeting today with the directors of the university Educational Assessment and Evaluation Units, as part of the university administration’s commitment to monitoring the regularity of grading, the timely announcement of results, and their accurate review.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Wessam Salah, Executive Director of the Main Center for Institutional Performance; Dr. Ibrahim Agamy, Executive Director of the Center for Educational Assessment and Evaluation; and Dr. Azza Al-Saqqa, Director of the Electronic Testing Unit.
The meeting discussed electronic grading reports received from various faculties, with an emphasis on the need for Assessment and Evaluation Units to adhere to proper corrective procedures. Discussions also covered the development of a unified examination paper template featuring standardized instructions and regulations for all faculties, as well as the standardization of results issued by Assessment and Evaluation Units to examination control committees. The measures aim to transform the grading process into an accurate, standardized system based on unified criteria across all university faculties.
Prof. Al-Agouz also reviewed reports on the percentages of essay and objective questions included in examination papers across different faculties. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the general examination regulations stipulated by law, as well as the internal policies of each faculty, in a manner that guarantees fairness and equal treatment for all students.
In addition, Prof. Al-Agouz explained that developing the examination and electronic grading system is a key pivot in achieving comprehensive fairness and equal opportunities for all university students. He reaffirmed the university commitment to steadily standardizing assessment and evaluation criteria across all faculties, enhancing the accuracy of results, and strengthening result-review procedures in accordance with the latest institutional systems.
He also expressed his pride in the notable progress achieved by the Assessment and Evaluation Units, highlighting their vital role in serving and advancing the educational process.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Al-Agouz commended the efforts of the directors of the Assessment and Evaluation Units, praising the significant development witnessed across the system. He noted that this progress reflects the commitment of the Center for Educational Assessment and Evaluation and its affiliated units to achieving the highest standards of quality and efficiency in student assessment.
