Under Patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, University Vice President Attends the Events of the Internal Hakathon on University Waste Management

   In line with reflecting the commitment of Tanta University to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and encouraging students to develop sustainable solutions to environmental challenges, the university held an internal hackathon on university waste management under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University.
   The event aimed to select the best student ideas and teams to represent the university in the national competition “We Recycle, We Innovate, We Build”.
   The hackathon was attended by Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Yasser Abdu, the university coordinator with the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses and Scientific Advisor to the Science Club, along with Dr. Mohammed Al-Qasir, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare.
   University Vice President emphasized that organizing the hackathon underscores the firm belief that environmental sustainability begins with ideas and innovation. He noted that Tanta University students possess the awareness, entrepreneurial mindset, and creative thinking needed to develop unconventional solutions to contemporary challenges.
   He further affirmed that the university is committed to providing all necessary resources to support the qualifying teams, including training and technical development programs, to help them refine their prototypes and strengthen their chances of competing successfully at the national level in the “We Recycle, We Innovate, We Build” competition.
   The qualifying rounds witnessed broad participation from student teams representing various faculties and academic disciplines across the university. Students presented innovative ideas and solutions aimed at improving waste-management systems and transforming environmental challenges into promising opportunities for entrepreneurship.
   The participating projects underwent a thorough evaluation by a judging committee based on several criteria, including innovation, practical feasibility, and their anticipated environmental and economic impact. 
   The qualifying teams are scheduled to undergo intensive training, capacity-building, and idea-development programs in the upcoming period as they prepare for the national-level competition, culminating in the final presentation before the central judging committee.
