Tanta University Vice President Inaugurates Orientation Program for New Students at faculty of Dentistry

   Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and in the presence of Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Tanta University inaugurated an orientation program for newly admitted students at Faculty of Dentistry.
   The program is part of the efforts of both the university and faculty to support students at the beginning of their university journey, helping them adapt to campus life and become familiar with the academic and student-related aspects of university life.
   The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Yasser Al-Makaky, Acting Dean of Faculty of Dentistry; Prof. Sherin Abdel-Mawla, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Ahmed Alam Addin, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with academic staff and administrative staff.
   In his remarks, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz emphasized that welcoming new students marks an important beginning in their university journey. He noted that students are at the cornerstone of the educational process and represent a key pivot in the future of both the university and the nation.
   He explained that the orientation programs are designed to ensure that students begin their university life with a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities, as well as the services and resources available to them. The programs also encourage students to participate actively in student, community, cultural, scientific, and sports activities.
   Prof. Al-Agouz added that Tanta University is committed to developing students as well-rounded individuals while maintaining a strong focus on educational quality and preparation for the labor market. He stressed that university years provide students with an opportunity to gain knowledge, experience, and skills, build social relationships, and discover and develop their abilities and talents.
   Addressing the new students, the Vice President stated that success at the university depends not only on academic achievement, but also on ambition, discipline, responsibility, and positive participation. He encouraged students to make full use of the opportunities and resources offered by the university and to view their university years as a period for building their future and pursuing their aspirations.
   The orientation program reflects commitment of Tanta University to creating a supportive campus environment from students’ first day. It introduces new students to university life, the academic system and regulations governing the educational process, the services provided by the university and faculty, and the various student activities available to help them develop their skills and discover their talents.
   The program also aims to strengthen direct communication between students and faculty leadership and provide new students with guidance on accessing educational and student services. This is intended to facilitate their transition from pre-university education to university life while promoting a sense of belonging, responsibility, and positive participation.
