In Attendance of University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs: Faculty of Pharmacy Concludes Student Activities for the Academic Year, 2025/2026
Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and under leadership of Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the Student Welfare Department at Faculty of Pharmacy organized the closing ceremony of student activities for the academic year, 2025/2026.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mona Al-A’sar, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy at Tanta University; Prof. Dr. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities at Tanta University; Dr. Sherin Hammad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amr Abdel-Mon’em, Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and General Supervisor of the Medical Administration at Tanta University; along with a distinguished group of academic staff, department directors, administrative staff, and students who participated in the various student activities.
During his speech, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz expressed his pleasure at attending the closing ceremony of the student activities for the academic year, 2025/2026. He emphasized that student activities represent an essential component in building students’ personalities and developing their skills and abilities by fostering teamwork, responsibility, and leadership, while providing opportunities to discover and develop talents.
He affirmed the Sector’s support for all student activities and initiatives, emphasizing the importance of investing in people and preparing graduates who are capable of actively contributing to community service and national development. He also extended his appreciation to the faculty administration, Dean Prof. Dr. Mona Al-A’sar, academic staff, assistant staff, and those responsible for student activities.
For her part, Prof. Mona Al-A’sar welcomed the guests and students participating in the various student activities, emphasizing that the faculty mission extends beyond academic education to include developing students’ skills, building their personalities, and broadening their cultural horizons. This contributes to preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required by the labor market.
In addition, Prof. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities at Tanta University, likewise emphasized the importance of student activities in developing well-rounded students. He explained that these activities contribute not only to developing students’ intellectual and cognitive abilities but also to improving their physical fitness and athletic skills, thereby promoting a balance between intellectual and physical development. He praised the faculty participation across various areas of student activities and its students’ active and distinguished presence in university events.
The ceremony included honoring outstanding students in various fields of student activities at both the faculty and university levels, as well as honoring the Student Union in recognition of their efforts and active participation throughout the academic year.
The honors also included recipients of the Ideal Mother Award and a number of academically distinguished international students, in recognition of their academic excellence and achievements.
The organization of the ceremony reflects the commitment of the faculty to supporting student activities, encouraging students to participate in diverse fields, and recognizing the efforts of outstanding and active students. These efforts contribute to fostering a supportive university environment that promotes the development of well-rounded students and enhances their scientific, cultural, athletic, and innovative skills and abilities.
