Tanta University Vice President Chairs Education and Student Affairs Council Meeting, Reviews New Electronic Data Collection Program, and Honors University Athletes
Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, chaired the regular meeting of Education and Student Affairs Council for September.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information; Prof. Ahmed Al-Seba’ey, Full Professor at Faculty of Science and External Member of the Council; Prof. Amal Kabbash, Full Professor at Faculty of Pharmacy and External Member of the Council; Vice Deans of the University faculties for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Haitham Al-Koumy, Director General of Education; and Dr. Ghada Arafa, Director of the Registration and Study Administration.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz congratulated Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh on the decision issued by Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, appointing him Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs at Faculty of Applied Arts. He wished him continued success in his new responsibilities.
The Vice President then discussed several items on the agenda received from the Supreme Council of Universities including amendments to certain provisions of the internal regulations of the Faculties of Engineering and Nursing, a report on the skill tests at Egyptian universities, as well as several issues related to international students and student transfers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Al-Agouz reviewed a new electronic program developed under his direct guidance by Faculty of Computer and Information. The program is designed to collect and consolidate comprehensive statistics on the number of students enrolled at the University, including data on different student categories, general and special programs, academic levels, and enrollment status.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the University honored students who won four bronze medals while participating in the African Universities Championship. The University also honored students who achieved third place among the participating universities at the Third Sports Festival for Students with Disabilities, hosted by Benha University.
