In Attendance of the Two Vice Presidents of Tanta University, a Coordinative Meeting to Develop Services Provided to International Students


   Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, held a coordinative meeting with the Centers for International Cooperation and the International Student Affairs. The meeting was attended by Prof. Shahira Sharaf Addin, Executive Manager of the Main Center for International Cooperation and International Student Affairs; Dr. Haitham Al-Koumi, General Manager of Education Sector at the University; and staff members of both centers.
   During the meeting, the two Vice Presidents stressed the necessity of initiating a comprehensive and accurate census of all international students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, along with reviewing and auditing the actual data and linking it to the electronic system of the university. This would ensure detailed statistics that contribute to forming a realistic and accurate vision of the international student system within the university.
   For his part, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz emphasized that unifying databases represents a cornerstone in supporting decision-makers to develop the logistical and academic services provided to international students. He added that this step comes in implementation of the ambitious strategy of the university to increase its capacity for international students and enhance the services offered to them, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. All of these procedures contribute to raising the competitiveness of Egyptian universities in world rankings. He ensured providing distinguished educational experience for international students that reflects the civilized image of Tanta University and supports its international expansion.
