Vice President of Tanta University Chairs the Education and Student Affairs Council and Affirms Regularity of the Academic Process During Ramadan


   Prof. Al-Sayyed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, chaired the fifth session of the Sector Council for the academic year 2025/2026. The meeting was attended by Dr. Afaf Bassal, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts; Dr. Atef Nower, external council member; vice deans of the faculties for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Haitham Al-Koumy, Director General of Education at the University.
   At the outset of the meeting, Prof. Al-Agouz honored Dr. Naglaa Al-Halaby, former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education for Education and Student Affairs, praising her sincere efforts in serving the educational process during her tenure. He also extended his congratulations to Dr. Mohammed Gaber on the issuance of the decision appointing him as Vice Dean at the Faculty of Medicine; to Dr. Tariq Radwan on the renewal of his appointment at Faculty of Business; and to Dr. Eman Rabea’ on her appointment as Vice Dean at Faculty of Specific Education, wishing them continued success and advancement.
   Vice President expressed his appreciation to council members following the completion of first-semester grading across all faculties for the academic year 2025/2026 and the regular announcement of results. He emphasized the paramount importance of student activities and the need to further develop their evaluation methods to achieve the highest possible standards, given their pivotal role in refining students’ skills and shaping well-balanced personalities.
   During the session, the Council discussed a number of important student-related matters, including amendments to certain provisions of faculty bylaws, the review of regulations for a new unique program at Faculty of Science, and decisions regarding cases of enrollment suspension and medical excuses. The Council also addressed the opening of specific courses and credit registration for some students to ensure the removal of any obstacles to their academic progress.
   At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz extended his congratulations to council members on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan. He stressed the necessity of full adherence to lectures and the established academic plan during the blessed month, while affirming the regularity of the educational process across all faculties to ensure that studies proceed according to the announced timetable.
