Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, visited today the International Students’ Welfare Center at the Medical Campus to follow up work and procedures related to receiving international students applying to study at faculties of the university and its academic programs starting from the academic year 2024/2025.

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein declared that Tanta University aims to increase the number of international students by providing all necessary living accommodations. He indicated that the university has prepared hotel-style rooms to welcome international students and has arranged high-standard transportation services. In addition, since May 2023, the university has established the International Students’ Welfare Center to offer supportive services, to facilitate procedures, and to communicate with international students to address their needs, helping them succeed in their studies. This initiative has led to a significant increase in the number of international students at the university over the past year.

   The Acting President added that the university’s 15 faculties offer various academic programs, which are regularly updated and revised to meet the demands of local, regional, and international labor markets, making them more suitable and attractive to international students who wish to study at Tanta University.

   During his visit, Prof. Mohamed Hussein was keen to meet the international students present at the center and to listen to their feedback on the services provided by the university and how well these services meet their needs, to ensure they benefit from and enjoy their study at Tanta University.

    It is worth noting that the Central Administration for International Students’ Affairs at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the beginning of applications to Egyptian universities starting from Saturday, June 29, 2024, through the "Study in Egypt" platform for international students.
