Prof. Mohamed Hussein, “An Outstanding Achievement by our Students as a Result of the University's Strategy for Supporting Student Activities and Talented Individuals”

   Tanta University honored its champions and distinguished individuals in student activities during the closing festival of 2023/2024 student activities season. During the ceremony, Prof. Mohamed Hussein granted the Shield of the Closing Festival to Prof. Mostafa Bayoumi and Prof. Karim Hemam. Prof. Mostafa Bayoumi awarded the Shield of the Egyptian University Sports Federation. The festival shield was also presented to Colonel Hazem Gamal Ismail, Manager of the Military Education Department at the university; Prof. Magdy Abu Freikha, Prof. Al-Sayed Samy, Technical Director of the Egyptian fencing team and sports advisor of the Military Sports Body of the Armed Forces; Prof. Ehab El-Koumi, Prof. Magdy Wakwak, Prof. Bahaa El-Din Mokhtar, and Prof. Amr Abdel Moneim, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration. Moreover, the honoring included Accountant Ahmed Rashad, the university's Secretary-General; Mr. Gamal Hamza, Manager of the University President's Office; Mr. Mohamed Al-Qasr, Manager of the General Administration of Student Welfare; former managers of student welfare, the family of the late Abdel Wahid Imran, who passed away while on duty. In addition, student Marwan Awny, the ideal student across Egyptian universities, was recognized, as was the exceptional champion Mohamed El-Sayed Samy, who won the bronze medal in fencing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, as well as international university champions and students with disabilities. Additionally, students who achieved top ranks in various local, regional, and international activities and competitions were honored, alongside students from the "For Egypt" student group, the president and vice president of the Student Union of 2020-2021 and 2022-2023, and the Student Union Council of 2022-2023. All employees of the various departments affiliated with the University's Student Welfare Administration were also recognized.

   This event took place during a huge celebration organized by Tanta University to mark the closing festival of student activities. The event was attended by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of the University; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mostafa Bayoumi, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Student Life and Sustainable Development and Vice President of the Egyptian University Sports Federation; Prof. Karim Hemam, Advisor to Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Student Activities and Director of the Leadership Development Institute in Helwan; along with a number of deans and vice deans, Colonel Hazem Gamal Ismail, Manager of the Military Education Department at the university, Prof. Magdy Abu Freikha, President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation; Prof. Ehab El-Komy, media figure and board member of the Egyptian Football Association; many journalists, media professionals, and coordinators of student activities, as well as a large number of university champions in various competitions.
