In Attendance of Deputy Minister of Health, SCU Secretary-General and USAID Representatives, Prof. Mohamed Hussein Participates in the Closing Ceremony the Youth Competition of the Project "Enhancing Egypt's Family Planning Program"

Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Acting President of Tanta University, participated in the Closing Ceremony of the third youth competition of the Project "Enhancing Egypt's Family Planning Program" and the announcement of the winners of the top three places. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Abla El-Alfi, Deputy Minister of Health and Population and Head of the National Population Council, Prof. Mostafa Refaat; Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU); Prof. Shahira Hassit, Director of Health and Population Office at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Chuanpet Chua Un, Director of Enhancing Egypt's Family Planning Program project; and Mustafa Mamdouh, Director of Social Communication and Behavior Change Unit at the Enhancing Egypt's Family Planning Program project.

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein indicated that student Sohaila Hashem, enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Program at Faculty of Arts, Tanta University, participated in the competition alongside students from other universities, as part of "Roots" team, which advanced to the finals among six teams that qualified from 28 participating teams from Egyptian universities. He added that his attendance today reflects Tanta University's interest in supporting distinguished students and providing all means of motivation and support based on the university's strategic plan. He stated that the university's centers for supporting talented and innovative students play a pivotal role in developing students' innovative skills and knowledge. He added that participation in youth competition in the area of family planning clearly demonstrates university students’ awareness regarding national developmental issues of priority.
