Prof. Mohamed Hussein Participates in the Closing Ceremony of the 9th Scientific Conference of Tanta Faculty of Law, Titled "Law and Human Trafficking"

    The closing session of the 9th Scientific Conference of Faculty of Law, Tanta University, titled "Law and Human Trafficking," just concluded. The conference was held from October 8 to 9, 2024, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was attended by Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Acting President of the University; Prof. Hatem El-Sayed Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Osama Ahmed Badr, Faculty Dean and President of the Conference; Prof. Ramzy Rashad El-Sheikh, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Samy Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; along with a group of academic staff members.

    In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Hussein expressed his pleasure in attending the closing session of the conference, affirming that the university is consistently working towards achieving academic and research excellence, developing scientific research systems, and directing their outcomes to serve the goals of sustainable development on both national and international levels. He highlighted the significance of the conference's topic, pointing out that human trafficking crimes differs them from traditional crimes in terms of their elements and components. These crimes are characterized by their unconventional nature. Prof. Hussein also expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the tremendous and tangible efforts exerted by the faculty’s administration and the organizing team, which greatly contributed to the success of the conference.

   Prof. Osama Badr, for his part, asserted that the conference, during its two-day sessions, had fruitful scientific discussions on "Law and Human Trafficking", and presented numerous research papers that significantly contributed to enhancing scientific research at the faculty.

    It is worth noting that the conference discussed 74 research papers over 8 scientific sessions. These sessions covered topics such as public law and human trafficking, private law and human trafficking, Islamic law and human trafficking, international public law and human trafficking, criminal law and human trafficking, the economic conditions and their impact on human trafficking, and finally, human trafficking in ancient societies.
