Prof. Mohamed Hussein attended a reception at the United States Embassy in response to an invitation from U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg, marking the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt. The event was also attended by Prof. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU); Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt; as well as a distinguished gathering of university presidents, cultural and artistic figures, and business leaders.
It is worth noting that the Fulbright Commission in Egypt was established in 1949 according to a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian and American ministries of foreign affairs. Over the past 75 years, the Fulbright Commission has offered a range of fully-funded, unique programs for various societal groups. These include funding student training programs across diverse fields, postgraduate studies, and postdoctoral research in academic and professional disciplines. Additionally, the Fulbright Commission has provided specialized programs to engage academic staff members in academic initiatives that aim to enhance their administrative and organizational skills.
