Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, declared that Tanta University celebrates the National Environment Day as it is important to increase awareness about environmental issues and challenges. He pointed out that the university participated in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 27) last November. The university gave high priority to issues of food and environmental security in its strategy to disseminate environmental awareness among all university personnel. He affirmed that the celebration this year includes three main pivots namely food security, water security, and education for sustainability.

   Furthermore, Prof. Mahmoud Salim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, added that the university always seeks to disseminate environmental awareness and to help provide quality life to citizens. He declared that the university inaugurated an outlet at Sibirbay Campus that sells food products and chemical detergents at low prices for students and employees.
