In the Framework of Tanta University’s Celebration of its Golden Jubilee, the Initiative “Differently Capable” is Launched at Faculty of Physical Education

The initiative Differently Capable started today at Faculty of Physical Education at Tanta University under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, University President, in attendance of Prof. Hamdy Shaaban, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Alaa Halwish, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education; and Prof. Hala Al-Saby, Vice Dean for Community Service.

    Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, affirmed that the university started to formulate an integrated program one day after President\ Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi had launched the initiative Differently Capable. This program aims to implement the initiative at all faculties of the university to support students with special needs, to discover the talented, and to give them due care through 4 main pivots namely development and personality formation, social protection, economic empowerment, knowledge and experience enhancement, and public services.

    Furthermore, Prof. Hamdy Shaaban declared that many sports activities were conducted today by 35 students with special needs at the courts of Faculty of Physical education in the context of the timeframe set by the university to serve PSN and to enable them to do daily life activities by themselves in addition to finding out talented and outstanding students who have disabilities to support them.

    Moreover, Prof. Alaa Halwish, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education at Tanta University, commended the strenuous efforts exerted by university administration under leadership of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki to serve students with disabilities.
