Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, received today in his office Prof. Hany Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, along with student Amira Mohamed, a second-year student at the faculty, and her father, following her remarkable international achievement of securing fourth place at the World Junior Weightlifting Championship, hosted in the city of Ismailia, Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Hussein expressed his pride and admiration for student Amira Mohamed, emphasizing that such an accomplishment is not unusual for the students of Tanta University, who continue to raise Egypt’s name high in international forums. He added that the university student’s achievement represents a true embodiment of the Egyptian state’s vision under the political leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, which places unprecedented emphasis on youth and sports as fundamental pillars of human development in the New Republic.
The President of the University also directed that all necessary facilities and support be provided to Amira Mohamed to enable her to continue her training and athletic excellence without compromising her academic progress. He further emphasized the provision of all available resources at the university’s training halls and sports facilities, under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialized professors from the Faculty of Sports Sciences to monitor her physical and technical development. He affirmed that the university’s doors remain open at all times to innovators and talented individuals across all fields.
For his part, Prof. Hany Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, praised the unlimited support extended by Prof. Mohamed Hussein to the faculty and its members, considering this meeting a strong motivation for all students to exert greater effort in pursuit of championships and titles.
