A British Student Delegation Participates in a Training Program at Tanta University

Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, received a student delegation from the University of Bradford, UK, as part of a one-month training program organized by the university for 31 of its students. The program aims to enhance cultural and academic relations, as well as promote Tanta University’s educational and research roles through academic cooperation with foreign universities. The event was attended by Prof. Emad Attman, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the university’s coordinator for the cooperation agreement with the University of Bradford, Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Mustafa El-Swaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of faculty members.

A Student Delegation from the University of Bradford Visits the Faculty of Computers and Information, Tanta University

The Faculty of Computers and Information at Tanta University welcomed a student delegation from the University of Bradford, UK, as part of the training program organized by Tanta University. The program aims to enhance cultural and academic relations and promote educational and research roles through academic cooperation with foreign universities.
The first day of training began with a lecture titled "Metaverse VS Virtual Reality," which covered the concepts of virtual reality, augmented reality, and the metaverse. The session explored how digital technology can be leveraged to advance various fields, as well as the key differences between these technologies and their impact on the real world.
This was followed by a workshop titled "AI & IoT Servers," which introduced the concepts of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), featuring practical applications in the faculty's IoT lab, along with several experiments using Raspberry Pi.

Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, met with a student delegation from the University of Bradford, UK, specializing in Medical Engineering. The meeting took place at the Faculty of Medicine under the patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, President of Tanta University, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University. The meeting was coordinated by Prof. Emad Attman, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and coordinator of the university's cooperation agreement with the University of Bradford.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Howaida Ismail, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed El-Swaf, Professor of Pediatric Surgery and Director of the Skills Development Lab at the faculty.
Prof. Ghoneim explained that a total of 13 students were visiting the faculty, and the visit would span two days.

During the event, students Taqa Adel Abuouf and Salma Ahmed Saleh Shalaby, both enrolled in the fourth year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program, were honored for successfully completing their training at Nizwa University from July 2 to July 26, 2024.

Signing of a Cooperation Agreement Between Tanta University and the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania

Tanta University welcomed a delegation from the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania, today to sign a cooperation agreement between the two universities. The Mauritanian delegation included Dr. Cheikh Saad Boubou Kamara, President of the University of Nouakchott, Dr. Salem Abdina, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics, Dr. Mohamed Saeed Bina, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Dr. Mokhtar El-Ghilani, Cultural Attaché at the Mauritanian Embassy in Cairo.
Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, President of Tanta University, stated that the purpose of this agreement is to enhance cooperation between the two universities, strengthen ties with Arab and African universities, and contribute to the implementation of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. He further emphasized that Tanta University is committed to expanding its collaborations with internationally renowned institutions to improve the quality of its educational system and enhance the capabilities of its graduates to meet the demands of both local and global job markets.

Tanta University Wins Third Place in the Arab Student Training Exchange Forum

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, President of Tanta University, announced that the university had won third place among Arab universities in student training for 2021. This achievement was recognized during the 27th Forum for the Exchange of Student Training Offers, hosted by Misr University for Science and Technology from March 13 to 17.
Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the university secured third place among 36 participating universities after training 12 students. He emphasized the university's commitment to supporting Arab students and achieving the goals of the student training exchange program organized by the Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation, which is affiliated with the Union of Arab Universities.
The award ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, former Minister of Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Universities, Dr. Ashraf Haider, President of Misr University for Science and Technology, Dr. Fawaz Al-Zaghoul, Director of the Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation, and a number of university presidents and vice presidents from the participating institutions.

11 Students Travel for Training at the University of Bradford, with 11 More Nominated to Travel in September

Prof. Kamal Akasha, Vice President of Tanta University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, confirmed that Tanta University secured four student and faculty exchange projects through the European Union’s Erasmus+ program for the 2019-2020 period. These projects are in collaboration with the University of Bradford (United Kingdom), Sapienza University (Italy), the University of Cantabria (Spain), and the University of Chemistry and Technology (Czech Republic).
As part of these initiatives, two faculty members traveled to the University of Bradford for a one-week exchange. Additionally, 11 students traveled for study or training periods ranging from three months to an entire semester. Ten more students have been nominated to travel in September, with four heading to the University of Bradford, four to the University of Cantabria, and two to Sapienza University.

Tanta University President Announces Completion of Summer Training for Arab University Students

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, President of Tanta University, announced the completion of the summer training program for students from Arab universities, as part of the student exchange and training agreement with the Arab Council for Student Training of Arab Universities.
The President added that Tanta University has earned numerous top positions in the Arab student exchange system in recent years. He emphasized that Tanta University will continue to be a key institution for preparing and qualifying young leaders and innovators across Arab universities. He also highlighted that fostering communication among these young people is a primary goal for all Arab nations, driving the establishment of such creative forums for cooperation and integration among Arab university students.
