Within the Framework of Community Partnerships Supporting University Hospitals: President of Tanta University Meets Banque Misr Foundation Delegation and Inspects the Foundation-Donated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the New Surgical Hospital

   As part of the community partnership initiatives supporting the university hospitals, Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, met today with Ms. Heba Hussein, Executive Director of Banque Misr Foundation, and Mr. Ahmed Emad, Assistant Director of the Foundation’s Financial Department, at the New Surgical Hospital of the University. The meeting was attended by Professor Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Professor Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; in addition to the faculty vice deans, Professor Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of the University Hospitals, Professor Ahmed Sweilem, Director of the New Surgical Hospital, and a number of hospital directors from across the University.

   Following the meeting, the University President conducted an inspection tour accompanied by representatives of Banque Misr Foundation throughout the New Surgical Hospital. During the tour, they visited the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit donated by the Foundation, in addition to reviewing the mobile radiography device used within operating rooms (CR), which represents a significant advancement in facilitating precise medical procedures during surgeries.

   Professor Mohamed Hussein commended the continuous and dedicated efforts exerted by Banque Misr Foundation in supporting and advancing the medical and therapeutic services provided within Tanta University Hospitals. He emphasized that the Foundation’s support through the provision of pediatric intensive care equipment and advanced radiology devices contributes directly to enhancing the quality of healthcare services delivered to the people of the Central Delta region. He further highlighted the critical importance of cooperation and integration with civil society organizations and the banking sector at the present time, noting that such partnerships constitute a fundamental pillar in enabling university hospitals to accommodate the increasing numbers of patients they receive daily while ensuring the provision of healthcare services in accordance with international standards.

   Professor Mohamed Hantira added that the ongoing modernization and continuous upgrading of medical equipment at Tanta University Hospitals, particularly at the New Surgical Hospital, represent a qualitative leap in both healthcare services and clinical training within the Faculty of Medicine. He noted that the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the mobile radiography device (CR), provided by Banque Misr Foundation, constitute a strategic addition that supports the Faculty’s vision of delivering advanced and highly precise medical services while alleviating the growing pressure on pediatric critical care departments. He praised this fruitful partnership, affirming that the combined efforts of national economic institutions and the academic and medical sectors are the true driving force behind sustaining the quality of healthcare services.

   For her part, Ms. Heba Hussein stated that the partnership with the prestigious Tanta University and the New Surgical Hospital reflects the Foundation’s strategy of directing support toward institutions with the greatest need and the highest efficiency in managing their healthcare systems. She extended her appreciation to the University and hospital administrations for their professional coordination, affirming that Banque Misr Foundation will continue its role as an active developmental partner contributing to the advancement of medical facilities to ensure the delivery of distinguished healthcare services.

   At the conclusion of the visit, and in recognition of the Foundation’s outstanding community role and continued support for the University’s medical system, the University President presented the shield of the New Surgical Hospital to the representatives of Banque Misr Foundation as an expression of the University and hospital administration’s gratitude for their tangible efforts.
