Tanta University Council Honors Recipients of the Best Master's and Doctoral Thesis Awards for the 2025/2026 Academic Year

   At its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, the Tanta University Council honored the recipients of the Best Master's and Doctoral Thesis Awards for the 2025/2026 academic year.

   The awards for the best doctoral theses in the fields of Basic Sciences, Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences were presented to Prof. Khaled Marzouk Shafik Wahdan, researcher at the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Abdel Karim Saeed Abdel Karim Al-Amir, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering. The Best Master's Thesis Award was presented to Mohamed Maher Abdel Karim Al-Askary, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Science, and Esraa Mostafa Ibrahim El-Safty, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Science.

   In the Medical Sciences sector, the Best Doctoral Thesis Award was presented to Prof. Khadija Ahmed Mahrous Galal, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Heba Mohamady Saad Abdel Hamid Abu Salem, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The Best Master's Thesis Award was presented to Esraa Sobhy El-Qotb Ibrahim, researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Maha Khaled Ahmed Shendy, researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

   In the Humanities sector, the Best Doctoral Thesis Award was presented to Prof. Mahmoud Helmy Mohamed Abdel Qader Skeen, Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, and Neha Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, researcher at the Faculty of Commerce. The Best Master's Thesis Award was presented to Asmaa Mohy Bassiouny El-Sokkary, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce, and Gamal Mohamed Mahmoud Yehia, researcher at the Faculty of Education.

   Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, affirmed that the University places the support and advancement of scientific research among its highest priorities. He noted that this recognition reflects the University's appreciation of its distinguished researchers and serves as an incentive for them to continue their scholarly contributions, thereby enhancing the University's national and international standing while providing innovative scientific solutions that serve society and support sustainable development objectives.

   He further emphasized that honoring outstanding members of the University community demonstrates the institution's unwavering commitment to strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem and encouraging high-quality postgraduate research with practical impact, in line with Egypt Vision 2030. He also commended the exceptional quality and significant efforts reflected in the award-winning theses across the medical, scientific, and humanities sectors.

   The awards were presented during the regular June meeting of the Tanta University Council, chaired by Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and attended by Professor Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, Former President of Tanta University; Professor Fouad Harras, Former President of Tanta University; Professor Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Professor Hatem Amin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; the deans of the University's faculties; Counselor Khairy Omara, Legal Advisor to the University; and Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of the University.
