Tanta University Council Approves Increase in Monthly Wages for Irregular Workers, with a Minimum Increase of EGP 500 per Month

   At its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Professor Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, the Tanta University Council approved an increase in the daily wage paid to irregular workers (paid on a work-performed basis) at the University, with a minimum monthly increase of EGP 500.

   This decision forms part of a broader package of financial support measures aimed at enhancing social protection for the University's workforce. It also reflects the University's commitment to helping temporary workers and their families cope with rising living costs while encouraging greater dedication and productivity.

   Professor Mohamed Hussein stated that the primary objective of this decision is to strengthen the University's social protection framework and provide comprehensive humanitarian and institutional support to its irregular workforce. He emphasized that the University places humanitarian and social considerations at the forefront of its priorities and remains committed to supporting all members of its community by fostering a fair working environment that ensures security, stability, and dignity.
