Tanta University President: Applications Open for the Deanship of the Faculty of Pharmacy Starting Saturday, July 18

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University and Chairman of the University’s Deans Selection Committee, announced today, Saturday, the opening of applications for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for professors working at the faculty.

   Applications will be accepted from Saturday, July 18, 2026, until Saturday, July 25, 2026.

   The University President explained that, according to the announced nomination schedule, Monday, July 27, 2026, has been designated for reviewing applicants’ files and announcing the preliminary list of candidates. The committee will receive appeals on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 28 and 29, 2026.

   The final list of candidates will be reviewed and announced on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Subsequently, applicants’ files will be examined, personal interviews will be conducted, and the final report will be prepared on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

   Applicants wishing to run for the position must submit six files (one original copy and five copies). Each file must be accompanied by a flash drive containing a complete PDF copy of the original file. Each application file must include the following documents:

1. Nomination application form.

2. An official, certified statement of employment status issued by the University.

3. A curriculum vitae (CV) prepared under the applicant’s own responsibility.

4. All supporting documents proving the applicant’s academic and administrative qualifications and activities mentioned in the CV, including positions held, awards received, and research papers or studies prepared or participated in.

5. The candidate’s proposed work plan, including development priorities, reform mechanisms, and proposals for advancement and improvement.

   The applicant’s file must also include the criteria stipulated in Ministerial Resolution No. (1365) of 2022 and its amendments under Ministerial Resolution No. (2468) of 2024, including:

• Leadership capabilities.

• Administrative capabilities.

• Mechanisms for implementing the targeted vision for higher education and scientific research in accordance with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt Vision 2030.

• Communication skills.

• Ability to manage financial resources and human resources.

• Research capabilities.

• General competencies.

• The extent to which the proposed plan aligns with the university’s actual needs and the possibility of implementing it within the specified timeframe.

Eligibility Requirements for Candidates:

   Applicants for the position must meet the following requirements:

• The candidate must be a serving professor at the faculty at the time of application.

• The candidate must be working at the university when submitting the nomination request.

• The candidate must not have previously held the position through appointment more than once.

• The candidate must not have been convicted of a criminal penalty or a custodial sentence for a crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust, unless their legal status has been restored.

• The candidate must not have received a disciplinary penalty unless it has been cancelled, removed, or withdrawn by the competent authority.

• The candidate must not hold any political party position at the time of nomination or throughout the term of office.

   Applications will be received daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the nomination period, from Saturday, July 18, 2026, until Saturday, July 25, 2026.

   Required documents must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Committee at the office of the President of Tanta University and Chairman of the Deans Selection Committee. Applicants will receive an application file receipt indicating the date and time of submission.
