Tanta University Launches Innovative Projects Competition as Part of the Innovation, Internationalization, and Professional Development Forum 2026

   Project submissions open from July 30 to August 9

   Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Selim, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Tanta University has announced the launch of the Innovative Projects and Prototypes Competition as part of the activities of the “Tanta University Innovation, Internationalization, and Professional Development Forum 2026 – TUI² Forum 2026.”

   The submission period for participating projects will begin on Thursday, July 30, 2026, and will continue until Sunday, August 9, 2026, in accordance with the regulations and application forms approved by the Forum’s Organizing Committee.

   The competition is part of Tanta University’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, transform creative ideas and research outcomes into applicable and scalable projects and prototypes, provide innovative solutions to societal and industrial challenges, and maximize the utilization of the university community’s scientific, research, and creative capabilities.

   Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussein emphasized that launching the competition reflects Tanta University’s commitment to supporting innovators and promising ideas, while providing an academic environment that encourages creativity and innovation and enables the transformation of scientific knowledge into sustainable economic and social value.

   The University President added that the Tanta University Innovation, Internationalization, and Professional Development Forum represents an integrated institutional platform that brings together talent, innovation, industry, and business sectors. The Forum supports the university’s efforts to establish effective partnerships and strengthen the connection between educational and research outputs and labor market needs and development priorities, in alignment with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.

   For his part, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Selim explained that the competition aims to identify distinguished innovative projects and prototypes across the university’s faculties and provide their creators with opportunities to present their ideas before experts, industrial sector representatives, and partner institutions. This will contribute to advancing project development, commercialization, and the establishment of partnerships for real-world implementation.

   The Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development noted that submitted projects will be evaluated based on the quality of the idea, level of innovation, feasibility of implementation and development, relevance to community and industrial needs, as well as the project’s expected impact and potential to provide practical and sustainable solutions.

   The Forum’s activities will include exhibitions showcasing participating projects, innovations, applied research, and prototypes, in addition to honoring outstanding submissions and presenting a range of awards that promote institutional and research excellence while supporting the development of partnerships with industry and business sectors.

   Tanta University invites its faculties, students, researchers, and innovators with projects and creative ideas to actively participate in the competition and complete the submission procedures within the specified timeframe. Participants are encouraged to follow the university’s official platforms and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector for participation guidelines, application forms, and organizational details.
