Prof. Muhammad Hussein:

   Today, the Tanta University Council was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, and in the presence of Prof. Fouad Harras, former President of Tanta University, Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, former President of Tanta University, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Al-Sayed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Deans of Colleges, and Counselor Khairy Amara, the university's legal advisor And accountant Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University.

   Prof. Mohamed Hussein began his speech by extending his sincere thanks and appreciation to the deans of the colleges, deputies, faculty members and administrative staff for their tangible efforts in completing the second semester exams and announcing the results to students in all colleges, stressing the need to closely monitor the readiness of the university's sub-coordination office and equip it with all logistical and technological capabilities to facilitate the procedures for receiving new high school students and provide them with all means of comfort.

     The University President directed the need to intensify and support comprehensive maintenance plans for academic facilities and laboratories during the summer vacation period to ensure their full readiness, stressing the importance of full coordination with the Main Center for International Relations and Expatriate Affairs to organize visits for representatives of cultural attachés from a number of sisterly and friendly countries to the university’s colleges. He also stressed strict adherence to the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding speed and accuracy in resolving and accepting applications for the registration of expatriate students, with special priority given to postgraduate students, to ensure that they are provided with the best academic facilities.

   The University President also emphasized the continued implementation of the University's strategic plan for internationalization and the expansion of grant agreements and dual levels of academic partnerships with major foreign universities. The University President highlighted the results of his recent official visit to the University of Cantabria, Spain, which resulted in landmark agreements to expand cooperation in the areas of joint scientific supervision of master's and doctoral theses, as well as a study to launch joint master's programs in specializations of mutual interest In a way that supports the research system and enhances academic mobility and exchange for students and faculty members.

   The University President also stressed the importance of enhancing the academic reputation of the institution, and expanding the hosting of visiting professors and international experts to participate in conferences, seminars and academic supervision, directing the deans of colleges to urge and guide faculty members and researchers to interact and participate effectively in the open events and activities of the Horizon Foundation (Horizon), to benefit from the available opportunities for partnerships, funding and international cooperation.

    Prof. Mohammed Hussein announced the start of work on forming a specialized advisory committee to establish centers of excellence in the fields of energy and agriculture, within the framework of the university's plan for future planning and the shift towards the "fourth generation universities" model based on innovation, sustainability, and linking scientific research to the needs of society and industry. The university president also presented a vision for establishing a permanent exhibition for student innovations and winning projects in international and local competitions With the aim of highlighting students' creativity and providing a sustainable motivational environment to support innovators and geniuses.

   The Council’s activities also witnessed the honoring of Prof. Faten Abu Taleb, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, on the occasion of the end of their terms as deans of the two faculties. Prof. Mohamed Hussein presented them with honorary shields, expressing his deep thanks and appreciation for their distinguished contributions and tireless efforts during their periods of responsibility, which positively contributed to the development of the academic and administrative systems in the two faculties, wishing them continued success in their future academic and research careers.
