Tanta University Council honors the T-Racers student team at the Faculty of Engineering, for achieving a historic achievement in the Formula Student UK 2026 competitions

    Tanta University Council, which met today under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, honored the T-Racers student team at the Faculty of Engineering, for achieving an unprecedented historical accomplishment in the Formula Student UK 2026 competitions, which were held at Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom, after obtaining third place globally in the overall standings of the Concept Class category. 

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, confirmed during his honoring of the team that the achievements of the team’s champions in the Formula Student UK 2026 competitions, held at the historic “Silverstone” Circuit in the United Kingdom, represent an unprecedented historical accomplishment added to the record of achievements of the Egyptian state and the university.

    He stressed that the university students’ acquisition of third place globally in the overall ranking of the Concept Class category is a source of pride and honor for Tanta University and the Egyptian academic system as a whole, pointing out that this victory was not the result of coincidence, but rather the outcome of tireless efforts, innovative engineering thinking, and a promising practical application of the state’s vision in supporting innovators and talented youth at universities.

     He added that the university spares no effort in providing all forms of material, logistical, and academic support to student teams and research innovations.

    The University President also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. El-Sayed El-Ajouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, for their continuous support of the college's student activities and teams, and to Prof. Hager Alam El-Din, the team's academic supervisor, for her tireless follow-up and distinguished scientific supervision, which had a significant impact in guiding and preparing students at the level that qualified them to represent the university and the Egyptian state in an honorable manner and to ascend efficiently to the international podiums. He extended his greetings of respect and appreciation to the students and faculty members supervising the team, wishing them continued success.

    The honor included Prof. Hajar Alam El-Din, the team's academic supervisor, and students from the departments of Mechanics Forces, Mechanics Production, Mechatronics, Artificial Intelligence, and Computers, including Fares Ashraf Al-Mallah, Eid Al-Sayed Aqda, Omar Khairy Jaissa, Muhammad Imad Badran, Mahmoud Mamoun Al-Shafi'i, Muhammad Yasser Al-Samdouni, Youssef Ashraf Saleh, Osama Yasser Badr, Maryam Ahmed Saeed, Al-Farouq Bahaa Ibrahim, Muhammad Sabry Amin, Muhammad Shams Ghazi, Ahmed Saeed Sabry, Israa Ahmed Muhammad, Hazem Khaled Tawfiq, Hisham Osama Hegazy, Ahmed Amin Ibrahim, Nadia Ayman Al-Sayed, Ali Mohamed Al-Gohary, Maysoun Moslehi Issa, Ahmed Abdel Moneim Mohamed

   This came during the Tanta University Council meeting headed by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of the University, and in the presence of Prof. Fouad Harras, former President of Tanta University, Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, former President of Tanta University, Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President of the University for PostGraduate Studies and Research, Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Deans of colleges, Counselor Khairy Amara, legal advisor to the university, and accountant Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of the university.

   It is worth noting that the team succeeded in becoming the first Egyptian and Arab team to qualify for the finals of the Business Plan Presentation competition in the history of the competitions, achieving third place in the finals, in a precedent that reflects the ability of Tanta University students to combine engineering excellence, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, and transforming innovative ideas into applicable competitive models and investment.

   The team achieved a number of advanced global positions, including first place globally in Project Management, third place in the Business Plan Presentation Finals, fifth place globally in Design, eighth place globally in Cost & Manufacturing, and ninth place globally in Lap Time Simulation.
