Today, Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University, inaugurated the development and upgrading works of the main conference hall of the Faculty of Medicine, following its renovation, along with the laboratories of the Histology and Pharmacology Departments, within the framework of the university's comprehensive plan to modernize the infrastructure and educational and research environment across its various faculties.

    The inauguration was attended by Prof. Mohamed Hantira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals; the faculty's deputies; Prof. Ahmed Ghoneim, former Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Hassan El-Tatawy, Executive Director of University Hospitals, along with a group of department heads and faculty members.

    The University President inspected the new and developed facilities and laboratories, praising the technical and artistic equipment they were provided with, which keeps pace with the latest international academic and scientific standards, ensuring the provision of advanced practical training for college students and researchers.

    Prof. Mohamed Hussein stressed that today's openings come as a continuation of the university's strategy to advance medical education and develop the educational and research system, in implementation of the political leadership's directives to pay attention to scientific research and develop its cadres, and to achieve the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030, adding that investing in developing laboratories and academic facilities at the Faculty of Medicine is a direct investment in the health of the Egyptian citizen. “We aim to provide our students and future doctors with the latest educational methods and laboratory technologies that qualify them to compete strongly at the local, regional, and international levels.”

    For his part, Prof. Mohammed Hantira explained that today’s openings represent a qualitative shift in the college’s educational infrastructure, noting that the new conference hall and laboratories are a strong and distinctive addition to the college and will directly contribute to enriching the scientific and research movement and facilitating the exchange of expertise between researchers and students.

    He added that the development of the laboratories of the Histology and Pharmacology departments was carried out in accordance with the highest modern laboratory standards and specifications. They were equipped with the latest advanced technological devices and techniques, providing a model educational environment for students and offering graduate, master’s, and doctoral researchers the precise capabilities needed to conduct their field and applied research with high efficiency.

    He thanked the Engineering Research and Consulting Center at the College of Engineering for its efforts in completing the renovation work to the highest possible quality.
